Alphamegalog of Mountains

The alphamegalog of mountains lists the largest mountain in the world for each letter of the alphabet. In this case, ‘largest’ is based on the height above sea level. This alphamegalog is not easy to construct due to problems identifying the way to spell various mountains outside the English-speaking world, finding the name of many mountains, and ascertaining the height in some cases. There is also a potentially subjective factor in some cases, such as Zion, which is not a very high mountain, but there aren’t many mountains whose names begin with Z, and Zion is “great” in Biblical considerations, irrespective of its height.
